Plastazote is a closed cell, cross linked, polyethylene foam designed to be heat formed at 230°F to a positive model or directly to a patient’s foot. Its comfortable feel, purity, light-weight and conformability make it the standard material for diabetic and arthritic foot management. The constant dynamic molding of an orthotic with Plastazote will redistribute pressure away from a sore spot or bony prominence.
